I don't usually post too many links to celebrity blogs or sites... Correction: I don't usually post too many links to **non-trashy** celebrity blogs or sites, but Wil Wheaton is more "regular person who just happens to be an actor/writer with cool and unique experiences" than your typical celebrity with a MySpace account and serious lack of values. I originally found his blog several years ago, but since I'm not a Trek mega-fan and since D&D goes way over my head, I assumed I wouldn't be part of his target audience, and I promptly moved on without reading much of anything.
I re-found his site this week and have spent the past couple of days reading through archives; this is my conclusion: Wil Wheaton is one of the most entertaining bloggers EVAH.
I wish I'd never clicked away in the first place. Between the sweet posts about his family, his fondness for anything science fiction, his engaged participation in various communities both online and off, videos of him unabashedly playing Rock Band at a convention (seriously, SO awesome), getting a rare and honest glimpse into the production process (including auditions, being on the set, character development, filming, etc...), and the general geekiness and enthusiasm of his ever-so-funny commentary on life, it's seriously one of the most addicting reads I've had in a while.
Go read his stuff. Do it. Do it.
